Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DH/H)

Goodwill offers comprehensive services to individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Candidates must be referred through Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS). Working with staff that are fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), the individual receives one-on-one employment counseling, vocational training, job placement and job coaching to ensure successful employment and job retention. Skilled coaches assist DH/H clients through:

• Resume preparation
• Effective job search techniques
• Advocate with employers
• Assist with job applications
• Interpreting assistance during the interview process
• Assist with job orientation period
• Assist clients in getting acclimated on the job for up to 90 days
