Goodwill offers training to individuals interested in pursuing a career in the Customer Service/Retail industry upon successful completion of the Professional Employment Skills Training. Individuals will receive up to 60 hours classroom/hands-on experience in the customer service retail industry and are required to attend all classes and complete a one week internship.
Training Methods—A combination of classroom instruction, hands-on training and work experience through a one week internship with a partner employer.
Training Timeline—This training consists of 60 hours of instruction and work experience during a two-week time period.
Hands-on Coaching—Participants receive direct assistance from qualified Goodwill staff to ensure the best job placement and job retention.
National Certification—Each graduate receives an opportunity to be tested for a national certification in customer service and retail training from the National Retail Federation.
