Career Center
The Goodwill Career Center is part of a network of service providers that are members of Mayor Daley’s WorkNet Chicago. This group assists in achieving the employment objectives of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) for adult, youth and displaced workers.
Located in the heart of the Englewood community, the Goodwill Career Center serves men and women who face barriers to employment. Career development and job placement services are offered and include an array of services:
- Internet Linked Resource Center
- Computers with job search capabilities
- Career Assessment
- Job Prep Enhancement/Job Club
- Job Placement and Retention Services
- Career Search Video Library
- One Stop Information Source
Eligibility:
- 18 years of age or older
- Resident of the City of Chicago
- Selective Service compliant
- U.S. Citizens or have authorization to work in the United States
- Must have a Social Security number
- Identified as being low-income
Funding Sources: Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development
Goodwill offers an answering service that allows residents to call 24-hours a day and ask questions about employment or about any of the support services offered.
